This is a new model that has just be made available and it has blew our socks off! It?s only 5 pounds ? so really portable. While its is very lightweight this machine also has the capability to suck anything you throw at it. We used the dirt devil scorpion to clean out our cat litter and it sucked it down with ease. Now cleaning the litter tray has been made that much easier by the new dirt devil portable vacuum. On top of its suction, the dirt devil has a flexible hose that is about 18 inches long that allows you to get to places you would never normally go. We can now even clean behind the toilet!

3. Dyson DC16 Portable vacuum Cleaner
What recommendation of portable vacuum cleaners would be complete without mentioning the Rolls Royce of the handheld vacuuming world ? The Dyson DC16!
This machine is totally portable as it does not need to be plugged in. It?s long skinny nozzle gets behind and under anything that you wish to clean. It only takes 3 hours to charge and then has the ability to pick up anything that even you large Dyson can deal with. In comparison with some of the other portable vacuum cleaners that we review, the Dyson dc16 also looks amazing.
